Animation and entertainment design artists in ICON Manila 2017

ICON Manila is back for its 4th International Entertainment Conference

Great news to all aspiring designers, animators, digital/traditional artists and the like! ICON Manila is back bringing together another notable lineup of animators and designers for the fourth International Entertainment Conference on June 30 to July 1 at De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde.

The ICON Manila Entertainment Design Conference targets those who wish to excel in the fields of animation, film, games, illustration, fine arts, and other forms of visual design. This year, ICON Manila has invited five prominent speakers who have decades of proven animation and design experience.

ICON Manila will feature Tony Bancroft, co-director of Disney’s Mulan and a Disney animator who helped create Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Iago in Aladdin, Pumbaa in The Lion King, and Kronk in The Emperor’s New Groove; Goro Fujita, a visual development artist at DreamWorks Animation who worked on Merry Madagascar, Megamind, and The Boss Baby to name a few; Even Amundsen, concept artist from Norway who worked for the famous VOLTA studio in Canada and did the characters for Lord of the Rings online, Riders of Rohan, and many more; Jana Schirmer, a self-taught concept artist/illustrator born in Cologne, Germany; and Armand Serrano, a Filipino-American visual development artist and layout journeyman known for his works at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Sony Pictures Animation.
