Figure drawing has always been the cornerstone of artistic training, but is also popular with amateur as well as professional artists. The figure presents many technical problems like form, structure, foreshortening and so on.

Basic Figure Drawing Workshop is an inspiring and intensive workshop built for those who wish to enhance their life drawing skills by learning from the expert. This workshop is intended to teach participants the fundamental principles and techniques necessary to effectively illustrate the human figure.

 

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW


Objectives

The objectives of this workshop is to introduce the basic principles of figure drawing, hone your knowledge in human anatomy through a series of exercises, and appreciate the beauty of human form.

Limited Slots
In order to make the best learning experience, this workshop will have limited slots. In return, the mentor can focus more on each student and the student can have a better workshop experience.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Meneer Marcelo is a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and teacher. As a designer with over 5 years of professional experience, Meneer has worked for several local and international publications. He also worked with some of the best ad agencies in the Philippines. At present, Meneer is an illustrator of Rogue Magazine and a lecturer in Ateneo de Manila University and Mapua Institute of Technology.

This is a paid event with limited slots. This is to control the crowd and to make a better workshop experience both for the participants and mentor.

Is there a live model on this workshop?
There will be a live model on this workshop to further appreciate and understand the human form.

What do I need to bring during the workshop?
We will provide you a sketchpad and pencil as these two are the most recommended tools by the mentor. We will give you the freedom to bring your favorite art materials if you have some.
