Known for his award-winning Kikomachine Komix publications, Manix Abrera has been tapped by the National Book Development Board to illustrate a Tagalog educational comic strip and infographic material titled Copyright Watch. Abrera announced it on his Instagram and Facebook page that his newest creation will be distributed for free in celebration of the World Book and Copyright Day on April 23 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.

Leading the celebration of the World Book and Copyright Day is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The World Book and Copyright Day is celebrated every 23rd of April, a symbolic date in remembrance of the deaths of two major authors: William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes. By celebrating the event, UNESCO seeks to promote reading, publishing, and the protection of copyright.

How well do you know copyright laws?

Copyright Watch will be launched on the World Book And Copyright Day on April 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Quezon City Memorial Circle.
